Moretimer trainer

Vivid topics, lively speakers and true-to-life exercises

That’s the recipe for success of our Forwarding and Distribution Masterclass. It brings together employees and suppliers to experience how logistics contributes to a business success.

The learning begins before the sessions start, with participants following e-modules on Cost Control, Forwarding Directives, Terms of Delivery and Transport Insurance. This let them jump right in to a wide range of topics on everything from Single European Authorization, to Customs Planning, to Best Practices.

Practical skills and real-life scenarios
One of the cornerstones of the Masterclass program is the MrMorits business case game, which focuses on a practical understanding of
logistics and physical distribution.

MrMorits is a sophisticated model of a business situation in which a number of teams compete with each other to make profits, and where the outcome is determined by efficient production scheduling, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, customer service levels and other logistics factors. Within the game, the participants have to select suppliers, make decisions and deal with the challenges of forwarding and distribution.

The exercise, being a model, reflects the underlying principles of logistics management, and is sufficiently elaborate to present a challenging task to participants. Playing the game is like real life: to optimize income and market share, you have to constantly balance service levels/stocks/costs, without knowing how demand is going to develop. During the game, a mix of mutual respect, eagerness to win, sticking to strategy and having fun working as a real team automatically forms.

Former participants are enthusiastic about the Masterclass, and provided very favorable feedback:

“While most of the subjects are in-line with my daily work, the Masterclass also gave me a broader view”
“For processes I am not involved in, it is very useful to know how they are organized within my organization and who to approach.”
